Start a Paradise Resident Search
Paradise has no city clerk or municipal records office that keeps one master resident roll. It is an unincorporated Clark County town and census-designated place, so the useful trail is divided between county offices, state services, and historical repositories. Use a current property record when you have an address. Use a recorder index when you need a dated transaction. Use library and archive sources for an older household. A match should rest on two independent details, such as an address plus a recorded document, rather than a familiar name alone.
The order below avoids a common false start. A Las Vegas postal address can still be in legal Paradise, and an owner name is not a list of everyone living at the site. Keep the street spelling, unit number, parcel number, date range, and spelling variants together as the search moves between custodians.
- Search the Clark County Assessor by address, parcel, or owner to identify the parcel and its situs and mailing fields.
- Use the parcel or legal description in the Recorder index to find dated deeds, liens, or reconveyances.
- Check the appropriate court portal only when a public case trail is relevant to the identity question.
- Ask Clark County Elections about an allowed registration-service or data-file route instead of assuming a public name directory exists.
- For an older person or address, use library directories, newspapers, UNLV collections, or a targeted Nevada public-records request.
Note: A missing online result can reflect a date cutoff, a protected record, a name variant, or the wrong custodian.
Paradise Resident Records Offices
Clark County offices form the working core of Paradise resident records. The Recorder preserves the dated land-document trail. The Assessor connects current parcel data to owner, mailing, situs, legal-description, and district fields. Elections maintains registration services and data routes with statutory limits. These offices answer different questions, and none of them produces a complete household list. The address-focused sequence is explored in the Paradise street directory.

Recorder and Assessor entries carry different dates. A current parcel card may not reflect who occupied a unit in an earlier decade. A recorder instrument identifies recorded parties, not every resident.
Verify Paradise Before a Directory Search
Paradise is a legal Clark County place, while many local delivery addresses use Las Vegas. Clark County’s planning material describes the Winchester-Paradise area as unincorporated, and the Assessor warns that its City/Town field is a legal-boundary field rather than a mailing-city field. Treat that distinction as part of every Paradise residents directory search. A parcel’s legal town, subdivision, plat, and APN can keep a search from drifting into a neighboring community just because the postal label is Las Vegas.
The Clark County Winchester-Paradise planning page shows the county-based setting behind that distinction.
Planning records establish the local jurisdiction, but they do not identify a current household. Use them to choose the right county record system first.
Paradise Owner Records by Parcel
The Clark County Assessor Real Property Records route supports owner-name, address, parcel, subdivision, and map searches. Its owner search includes current and prior-owner choices. Its address form accepts a street name and optional number, direction, type, City/Town, and phonetic matching. Record the APN, situs address, mailing address, legal description, and subdivision when a result opens. Those fields make a later recorder or GIS check more reliable.
| Assessor field | Input | Why it helps a Paradise search |
|---|---|---|
| Street name | Required text | Finds an address sequence when the street is known. |
| Street number | Optional numeric text | County guidance describes a three-block result window when a number is supplied. |
| City/Town | Optional dropdown | Checks legal Paradise context, not postal delivery city. |
| Record preference | Current parcel or present/prior owners | Separates current parcel work from a prior-owner lead. |
The owner-search screen illustrates the county’s person-to-parcel entry point.
An owner or tax-mail recipient is a recorded role. It does not establish that every household member lives at the site.
The Assessor records landing page identifies the available real-property search routes.
Use the current card as a starting point, then preserve its parcel and legal fields before searching older documents.
Paradise Recorder Records by Name
Clark County Recorder research reaches official records from 1909 forward. AcclaimWeb’s online Official Records index begins in 1988, while the Recorder reports microfilm from 1909 to the present. Name mode offers a required last-name branch with optional first name, or a company-name branch. It also supplies starts-with, contains, and exact matching, date ranges, book type, document type, party roles, and alternate search tabs for parcel, instrument, book/page, record date, total value, and legal description.
Start narrow. A full or partial surname can return a large party list, so add a date range, document type, APN, or legal description. For pre-1988 work, request recorder research or use the office’s historical microfilm rather than assuming an online miss means no document exists.
AcclaimWeb’s name-search tab is the county’s primary recorded-document entry point.
A grantor transfers an interest and a grantee receives one. Those labels help move backward through a deed chain, but the index is not a household roll.
- Parcel
- A county identifier for a piece of land or a unit, often used as the bridge between map, tax, and deed records.
- Index
- A searchable list of record details. It can point to a document without supplying the complete image.
- Resident roll
- A record that can associate a person with a place or status. Each roll has its own limits and date.
- Criss-cross directory
- A reverse directory arranged by address first, useful for historical occupant leads.
Paradise Court Records by Forum
A name in a court index needs the right forum. The Eighth Judicial District Court is Clark County’s general-jurisdiction trial court. Its clerk guidance describes records from September 1909 forward, with most records from 1990 forward searchable online. Las Vegas Justice Court uses separate civil, criminal, traffic, and calendar routes. Nevada appellate cases belong in ACIS, and federal matters require PACER. Sealed, juvenile, adoption, and other protected matters do not appear in ordinary public results.
A public case entry can establish a party name, filing context, or procedural trail when the portal returns it. It does not establish current residence or provide a complete history. For an older file or a document the public portal does not show, use the District Court counter, public terminals, clerk contact, or a focused request naming the case, parties, date, and document type.
The Eighth Judicial District Court portal leads to its public status and filing search tools.
The capture confirms public portal access, while its searchable fields and any returned docket details remain portal-dependent.
Note: Use the court named on a citation or case when known, because other Clark County justice courts are geographic fallbacks.
Paradise Voter Records Have Limits
Clark County’s registered-voter page is a dynamic service intended for individual registration status and related account functions. The research capture did not expose a dependable public field inventory, so it should not be described as a browse-all name directory. County voter-list data files and district resources provide a separate official access path. The county says its files are updated weekly, generally on Monday, and distinguishes active, inactive, and all datasets.
NRS 293.503 and NRS 293.558 make much registration information public while protecting registration location, identifying numbers, full date-of-birth details, driver-license or ID information, email, and protected addresses. A voter record can be a corroborating detail when obtained through the correct channel. It must never be used to reconstruct a confidential address or turn a precinct file into a block roster.
Current Paradise Resident Directories
Current Paradise directory evidence is a set of overlapping official and library sources. The strongest result depends on the question. An Assessor card records a parcel owner and tax correspondence. A Recorder result records a party to an instrument. Elections records relate to registration under statutory rules. Library news and obituary tools add family and date context. None should be stretched beyond its purpose.
| Paradise source | What it can confirm | Custodian | Access route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assessor parcel card | Recorded owner, mailing and situs fields | Clark County Assessor | Current public property portal |
| Recorder instrument index | Recorded party, document, date, legal description | Clark County Recorder | Online index from 1988; microfilm from 1909 |
| Registration services/data | Lawfully public registration context | Clark County Elections | Individual service or county data route |
| Obituary and newspaper tools | Names, relationships, notices, historic address clues | Library District and UNLV | Card, in-person, microfilm, or licensed database |
| Public court index | Public party and case context | Appropriate court clerk | Portal, counter, terminal, or targeted request |
When the goal is one well-identified person instead of a place, use these sources as a convergence test across independent records.
| Official record route | Compiled commercial category |
|---|---|
| Names a custodian, date, field limits, and a correction path. | Can combine sources, yet may be stale, incomplete, or confused between same-name people. |
| Best for a record-specific question and source verification. | Should not be treated as proof of identity, address, or protected status. |
Paradise Vital Records Have Gates
Birth and death records use a different access system from property or court indexes. Nevada’s Office of Vital Records is the legal custodian for births and deaths from July 1, 1911 forward, and Southern Nevada Health District provides the Clark-area counter. Nevada law generally opens birth information after 125 years and death information after 50 years. Current certified copies remain restricted to qualified or directly and tangibly related applicants under NRS Chapter 440.
For a family-history question, an obituary, newspaper notice, library database, or genealogy appointment may answer the immediate date or relationship question without implying that a certificate is open. Marriage and divorce materials also have separate county and court routes. The state can perform marriage or divorce verification searches for the documented 1968 through September 2005 period.
Nevada vital-record forms and fee information show the application paths and record products.
The forms route distinguishes certificate, verification, and correction processes, so select the product that matches the lawful need.
Nevada Sources Beyond Paradise Records
When county records stop short, Nevada SilverFlume can answer a different kind of question. It searches current business entities by name, phonetic match, and sort preference, then reports fields such as entity name, Nevada business ID, status, and type. A public filing can show a business relationship or filing history, but it is not proof of a private home address. State licensing boards offer their own lookup routes, while Nevada Historical Society, NARA, and UNLV provide historical fallbacks.
Nevada’s Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, is the request framework when a non-exempt county or state record is not online. Make a narrow request that names the office, date range, record type, and desired format. Nevada’s practical guidance calls for an acknowledgment or status response within five business days. Actual-cost rules apply in the circumstances set by statute.
SilverFlume’s entity-search page is a statewide example of a name-based official lookup.
Its result categories establish entity identity and status, which should be kept separate from personal residence evidence.
Historical Paradise Resident Directories
Historical Paradise residents are often found in Las Vegas and Clark County collections rather than a stand-alone municipal series. UNLV Regional History Files identify Paradise Valley material for 1950 through 1965 in box 18 and a Las Vegas City Directory for 1969 in box 12. Nevada State Museum Las Vegas is documented as holding Luskey Las Vegas Criss-Cross directories for 1956, 1957, 1959, 1966, and 1967. These are documented holdings, not evidence of an uninterrupted annual run.
A criss-cross volume starts with the address. Copy the printed occupant name, then consult its alphabetical section and compare it with the closest federal census release, newspaper notice, or deed trail. The fuller collection-by-collection approach belongs in the Paradise directory book.
Note: A missing listing may reflect a directory’s coverage, timing, abbreviation practice, or postal boundary rather than a vacant address.
Paradise Newspaper and Directory Trails
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District provides a practical historical shelf for Paradise research. Its genealogy resources include HeritageHub, Ancestry Library Edition, HeritageQuest, Chronicling America, Fold3, and newspaper collections. Board minutes describe local city and telephone directories along with a Las Vegas Sun and Review-Journal card index for 1970 through 1982. Ask a librarian for address variants, obituary, yearbook, telephone, and directory holdings, because exact shelf years are collection-specific.
UNLV Special Collections adds maps, oral histories, student and institutional directories, regional history files, and a circa 1957 through 1961 R.L. Polk Arrow map with street index. The map is a strong bridge between an old street reference and a modern APN, but it should be checked against a plat or legal description. Nevada Historical Society remains a request route while its research library is closed for renovations through December 2026.
Paradise Records Have Protected Fields
Public availability has boundaries. Nevada Confidential Address Program participants can use a fictitious address and mail-forwarding arrangement under NRS 217.462 through .471. Voter law protects registration location and identifying fields. DMV personal name and address records are restricted by federal DPPA rules. Sealed court, juvenile, adoption, and restricted vital records also stay closed. A lawful personal search respects those limits and returns to the custodian when a field is missing or wrong.
Clark County also warns that it does not solicit official-record copy orders. For a deed copy, use the Recorder’s official portal, counter, or mail-request route, and verify any unexpected letter through an official contact.
Current Paradise Public Record Posts
Paradise’s local civic record is county-based as well. The Paradise Town Advisory Board posts agendas, minutes, and audio for public meetings. Its bylaws trace to Clark County Ordinance 494 in 1976 and require five qualified Paradise electors. Those materials can supply public planning and participation context, but they are not a resident directory. They are useful when a location question overlaps a publicly noticed development or neighborhood issue.
The Paradise Town Advisory Board page is the county’s current publication route for those materials.
County planning and advisory materials add a public local-government context to a search without replacing parcel, Recorder, court, or library evidence.
